Inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s correspondence, this exhibition brings his work into dialogue with modern and contemporary art. Twenty-two artists, spanning several generations, present their works to him as if they were letters, exploring the major themes that run through his writings: landscape, light, colour, portraiture, friendship and solitude.

Straddling myth and reality, the exhibition reveals a different narrative of Van Gogh, informed by contemporary perspectives and enriched by the presence of two original works by the painter, an autograph letter and early editions of his correspondence.
